I could’ve sworn I heard about this “Deadman” project before yet I can’t track it down in our archives so I’m going to go ahead and run with this news today.

As the title of this article suggests, it seems The CW are moving forward with a television series based on the realitvely unknown DC comic “Deadman.” That news is coming at us courtesy of Deadline Hollywood. So what’s the kicker with this one? Check it:

Apparently the man behind “Deadman” will be none other than “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke! From what I hear “Supernatural” is a pretty kick-ass genre-filled show so that alone should be good news for this “Deadman” series. Kripke will be penning the series and executive producing. More good news is that The CW are banking on this thing is take the place of it’s other hit DC comic television show “Smallville,” which came to a close this past May.

Based on the DC comic by Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino, “Deadman’s” rundown reads:

The project is about the spirit of a murdered man, Boston Brand, who lives on as he inhabits other people’s bodies and helps them solve crises in their own lives.

So there you have it folks! Unfortunately we’re not told when “Deadman” will be getting underway but my bet is sooner rather than later. Of course we’ll keep an eye on this project and will update you all on any news that comes our way.
