No fan am I of the sickening onslaught of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES set material that has flooded the net the last month or so, but this next bit of business is pretty badass. One word. BANE!

That’s right y’all, some new set photos from Chris Nolan’s latest Gotham tale have been circulating, and they feature the great Tom Hardy as a villain looking to make Ledger’s Joker as campy as Nicholson’s. Here, Bane is making an appearance at Heinz Field, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. For the football purists out there, I bet Dick LeBeau is looking to put pads on the mothaf*cker. Pronto!

Coming at us July 20, 2012 – Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Josh Pence, Nestor Carbonell, Matthew Modine, Chris Ellis and Josh Stewart all star in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.
