CATFISH directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman have exactly three months to put the finishing touches on PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3. Like clockwork, the flick opens October 21st (the real day of the “rapture” mind you), and although we know next to nothing about the low-budget sequel, Paramount has issued the first teaser trailer for the film. Scope it below!

As you can see, an 80s set back-story serves as grounds for a narrative prequel. It then seems the film will jump ahead in time to the present, or future, but this sucker’s definitely got an antiquated feel. The home-movie element certainly helps…as does the Bloody Mary sequence late in the clip. I like how the red light remains alight during the countdown.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3 is written by Christopher B. Landon, who wrote the second installment in the cash-grabbing franchise. No casting info has been given, but it seems pretty accepted that series star Katie Featherston (below) will return in some form or fashion.

Expect a lot more on the film in the next three months…
