I don’t know about the rest of you guys but one flick I just can’t get excited for is Marcus Nispel’s CONAN THE BARBARIAN. Not that the flick looks bad to me, it’s just I’m not really into this kind of thing. I know, I know… It’s big dudes hacking away at other big dudes with swords. I should be eating this stuff up right? Alas my heart just isn’t in it.
But that doesn’t mean I’m going to overlook any updates regarding the film! It’s my sworn duty as an AITH news editor to bring you all the latest on any and all films of our beloved genre. CONAN embarks on a quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior and soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.
CONAN THE BARBARIAN is set to hack its way into theaters come August 19th with a cast that includes Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols (below), Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan, Saïd Taghmaoui and Ron Perlman. It’ll also be heading to Comic Con later this month on Friday July 22nd at the Lionsgate booth from 5 PM to 6 PM with stars Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols and Stephen Lang.
