How lame does this sound?
Josh Hutcherson (the kid who is currently famous for losing out on the new SPIDER-MAN gig) and Dane Cook are starring together in a horror-comedy from the guy who made the awfully good TORQUE. It’s called DETENTION, and the excitement is palpable…
Here’s the yawn-inducing premise: DENTENTION centers on teens who must survive their final year of high school. Standing in their way is a slasher-movie killer who has seemingly come to life.
The flick will be as quick and cheap as a Las Vegas hooker. (The Arrow inspired that last sentence.) It’s being shot for $10 million in L.A. next month; just something for Hutcherson to do before moving on to the JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH sequel (yes, that’s actually happening). I’d feel bad for him, but he’s executive producing DETENTION, so I suppose there’s nothing left to say – except godspeed.
