Way back in December was when we last heard about Oleg Assadulin ‘s Russian horror flick PHOBOS. What did you guys think? Personally I’m going to go ahead and say PHOBOS sounded good enough to keep an eye on… And that’s exactly what brings me here to you all today!
You see over in our videos section we scored a look at a five and a half minute clip for PHOBOS! There’s the good news. The bad news? It’s in Russian and there’s no English subtitles. So unless you speak Russian you probably won’t understand what’s going on in the clip but I’d say it gives us a decent idea of what we can expect with PHOBOS: Something f*cked up!
Rainy summer evening, with young people arriving at the new trendy club named Phobos, which is still under construction. Or re-construction – since it’s a former bomb shelter which is reconstructed to become a club. At first, the party sees nothing wrong, but soon the bunker doors turn out to be locked, and the teenagers get trapped underground without light and communication. At first, all of them are joking and do not realize how dangerous their situation is. Then they get frightened. All of them will need to cope with their fears before the bunker will let them free.
And ladies and gentlemen that is why I will always prefer a roomy bar over a loud, crammed club. We’re not sardines people. And rubbing up on each other, while lots and lots of fun, is not dancing. Now that description above, there’s a club experience nobody will ever forget! PHOBOS stars Agniya Kuznetsova (below), Pyotr Fyodorov, Petr Tomashevsky, Renata Piotrovski, Timofey Karataev, Tatiana Kosmacheva and Aleksey Vorobev. Go ahead and scope out the clip below along with the film’s trailer. No word on any sort of release for PHOBOS, US or otherwise, but as always we’ll keep you updated!
