I love slasher movies. It’s no secret and I’m not afraid to admit it. I’m not talking just the awesome slasher flicks from the 80s. I’m also talking 90s slasher flicks as well as what little slasher flicks we’ve seen in the past few years. So when there’s a new slasher heading our way you can bet I’ll be keeping track of it! As is the case with REYKJAVIK WHALE WATCHING MASSACRE.
We’ve been keeping you all updated on this one since it was announced and it’s been met with a pretty positive response. Why? Well it’s looking like a fun slasher that doesn’t try and do too much. Today the second trailer for REYKJAVIK hit the net and we’ve got it over in our videos section. You can also check out the new trailer below. Nothing too amazing but it gets the job done. Sets up the flick with a good idea of what we can expect then ropes us in with the slashing action! I’m down!
REYKJAVIK is an epic tale about a group of whale watchers, whose ship breaks down and they get picked up by a whale fisher vessel. The Fishbillies on the vessel has just gone bust, and everything goes out of control. It comes from director Julius Kemp and stars Pihla Viitala, Nae, Terence Anderson, Miranda Hennessy, Aymen Hamdouchi, Snorri Engilbertsson, Gunnar “Leatherface” Hansen and Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir (below). REYKJAVIK gets a release in Iceland on September 4th but no word on it hitting the US yet. We’ll be sure to update you all once we hear more!
