So MySpace IS good for something! While randomly browsing my MySpace today I came across an update from a favorite director of mine. One Richard Kelly, of DONNIE DARKO fame. Well Kelly’s got a highly anticipated flick coming at us later this year called THE BOX… as I’m sure you all know.
It seems there’s been a lot of fans pondering whether or not THE BOX will be appearing at Comic-Con this year in some capacity. So Mr. Kelly (right) felt it appropriate to post a blog concerning the matter entitled ‘Comic-Con’:

Wanted to share some news on THE BOX.
Many have asked us if we will be at Comic-Con . . . I am happy to tell you first that the answer is YES. Our panel is Friday, July 24 as part of the Warner Bros. presentation. Cameron and James will be joining me, we look forward to sharing a First Look at the trailer plus other cool stuff.
Awesome! So Kelly along with stars Cameron Diaz and James Marsden will in fact be heading to San Diego! And they’ll be bringing a trailer with them! Awesome! All good news so far! Now here comes something else to take note of…..
In the same blog post Kelly drops an interesting note.. “More news on THE BOX and other DARKO projects soon.” Well that has my interest peaked. Chances are Kelly is talking about other projects coming from his Darko Entertainement producing banner but there’s always the chance he’s working on something else DONNIE DARKO, right? Apparently Darko Entertainement are working on the adaptation of I HOPE THEY SERVE BEER IN HELL so maybe that’s what he’s talking about… Either way keep it here for Kelly updates as we await THE BOX’s October 30th release date.
