If anything Park Chan-wook’s THIRST is nothing short of intriguing. I mean come on… a priest who becomes a vampire! What’s not to love? Park’s THIRST is getting mixed reviews all over the world… but what about the love here in the US? Well we’ll soon find out!
According to The Hollywood Reporter THIRST is set to hit US theaters later this Summer. Focus Features are planning on sending this vampire flick through Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York theaters on July 31st. It’ll then slowly pan across other cities throughout August. Focus Features CEO James Schamus had the following to say:
“Very few films I’ve ever seen, going back to Hitchcock’s ‘Vertigo,’ have that kind of feel of love and at the same time has horror and a terrifying philosophical exercise in thinking through the greatest extremes of what human emotions and human ambitions can lead to.”
