We’ve been waiting a while for an adaptation of Steve Niles’ WAKE THE DEAD. And by a while I mean over a year! It’s not like it hasn’t gotten the green light… the movie is ready to roll! But something always keeps getting in it’s way. Low and behold we’ve hit that wall again and according to MTV we’ll have to wait a bit longer for WAKE THE DEAD.
What’s the reason for the sudden delay this time? Why THE HOBBIT of course! No lie. Don’t believe me? I’ll let Niles tell you:
“We were kind of racing against time a little with WETA because they’re about to take on ‘The Hobbit’ and God knows that’s going to consume all of New Zealand for the next five years.”
Damn short hobbit things! Unfortunately it looks like we might have to wait quite some time before we see Niles’ FRANKENSTEIN story brought to the big screen.
