The Hollywood Repoter are dropping word today about yet another graphic novel coming to the big screen. You ever thought you’d see the day an original genre flick would be hard to find? Or an original flick for that matter… rough times.
Let me get into the newest graphic-novel-to-movie. It’s called RAMAYAN 2292 AD and it’s coming from Mandalay Pictures, Liquid Comics, and Mark Canton. If your like me, your asking yourself what the hell is RAMAYAN 2292 AD? It’s about Prince Rama — a legendary blue-skinned warrior who in mythology is an incarnation of the god Vishnu — who has to fight to save his beloved from demon forces.
Hmm. Well if it looks cool and is done well, I’m down! As always, that all depends on who they get behind this bad boy. Right now all we have is the screenwriter – John Collee has been tapped to adapt the graphic novel, so let’s hope he comes up with something good.
Word is that Sony Online Entertainement are adapting RAMAYAN 2292 AD into a multiplayer online game as well. So that must mean it’s got some kind of depth right? Good news in my eyes. Hopefully we get some more news on RAMAYAN 2292 AD soon. As always, we’ll keep you updated.
