Uninvited poster

I last told you about THE UNINVITED back in April, when it’s release date was pegged for January 30, 2009.

Well today the guys over at Bloody Disgusting got a look at the first poster for the flick and I’m definately digging it! So much so that it just might be one of my favorite posters of the year… Go ahead and scope a bit of it above, click through to check out the rest.

Pretty sweet right? I’m loving the spooky individual peering in through the window, draped in shadows. Definately has an eery feeling to it. Mysterious… yet to the point. Almost makes up for the boring title. Now if you’ve been keeping track, you should know that THE UNINVITED is a remake of the Korean film A TALE OF TWO SISTERS, which is said to be pretty damn good. Will the remake be as good? Highly doubtful but we don’t have to give up hope.

THE UNINVITED is about Anna Rydell, who returns home to her sister (and best friend) Alex after a stint in a mental hospital, though her recovery is jeopardized thanks to her cruel stepmother, aloof father, and the presence of a ghost in their home. It comes from directors Charles and Thomas Guard with the trio of Craig Rosenberg, Doug Miro, and Carlo Bernard all penning the script. It stars Elizabeth Banks (below), Arielle Kebbel, David Strathairn, and Emily Browning. Like I mentioned, it’s set to hit theaters on January 30, 2009. So keep it here for any more updates.
