The Hollywood Reporter has some news today on a pretty interesting script sale. Before I get into what the script actually is, let me tell you all about it’s writer.

The man who penned said script is Shawn Christensen (right), who’s also the frontman for the band Stellastarr*. So this guy is a screenwriter… and an indie rock star? Man he’s got to be loving life. Well let me tell you about his script…

It’s titled THE KARMA COALITION and is about a professor who engages in a game of cat and mouse with a corrupt detective after he’s told his dead wife of five years might still be alive. He uncovers the existence of a secret organization responsible for faking her death but suffers the consequences of that knowledge.

That actually sounds pretty intriguing… it’s got my attention. Warner Brothers picked up KARMA with Dan Lin producing at Lin Pictures. Lin Pictures’ Stephen Gilchrist, who pitched the script, will be co-producing.

Apparently this one is on the fast track so we’ll keep you updated once we hear more.
