Well don’t you love a good ‘He-said-she-said’ back and forth? I know I do! And we seem to have a perfect example of one in the whole ordeal with the indie horror TRICK R TREAT.
First Warner Brothers don’t want TRICK R TREAT, well then they apparently do, but… they actually don’t. So what’s the deal?
Well the fellas over at ShockTillYouDrop recently got word from a ‘trusted biz source’ stating: “….Warner is keeping Trick ‘r Treat, but it’s going direct-to-DVD.”
Now I wouldn’t bet my life savings on this considering the history behind the flick, but I have to say this seems like the most logical step… and the next part of that logical step would have the flick released next month in time for Halloween. We can hope right?
TRICK R TREAT is both written and directed by Mike Dougherty. The synopsis reads: Four interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the one guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband. It stars Lauren Lee Smith, Moneca Delain, Leslie Bibb (below), Anna Paquin, Quinn Lord, Brian Cox, Dylan Baker, Rochelle Aytes, and Tahmoh Penikett.
Normally I’d say we’ll keep you updated, but I’m not sure how much of this high school gossip drama I can take. As soon as we hear some official word on this bad boy, we’ll pass it along.
