FD 4 in Summer 09

Yesterday I showed you all a couple videos from the set of FINAL DESTINATION 4. Well with shooting wrapped, we’ve got a release date for FD4 from New Line.

The 3-D adventure of death-versus-young-adults is literally coming at us in late Summer 2009. August 14, 2009 to be exact.

So what say you? Is this good strategy for New Line to be dropping this potentially mediocre horror/thriller at the end of the summer season? It seems like a confident move to me. Maybe they think they have something great here. It has to be better than part 3, right?

Then again.. next summer is looking pretty lackluster thus far. I know I wouldn’t mind a fun 3-D ride of death and destruction coming from David R. Ellis as my summer comes to a close.

FINAL DESTINATION 4 comes from a script by Eric Bress with Ellis directing. It stars Krista Allen, Nick Zano, Richard T. Jones, Shantel VanSanten (below), Billy Slaughter, and Bobby Campo among others. So look for it in all it’s 3 dimensional glory on August 14 next summer.
