Crazy BDay Party

I’ve got some pretty interesting news for you all via The Hollywood Reporter today. United Artists just named a writer to adapt the novel THE BIRTHDAY PARTY: A MEMOIR OF SURVIVAL.

Scope out the synopsis for the book: A former assistant U.S. attorney, describes the 25-hour kidnapping ordeal he endured in a Brooklyn apartment in 1998 the night before his 38th birthday.

For some reason that sounds like something pretty cool in my eyes. Knowing nothing at all about the book by Stanley N. Alpert, just the plot has me intrigued.

The man pegged to adapt the screenplay is Charles Randolph, who’s already finished a draft of the script.

Hopefully we get a better idea of what we can expect from THE BIRTHDAY PARTY soon.

I’d love to go to her birthday party…
