Guess what! We’ve got some more casting news today for FRIDAY THE 13TH via those dudes over at Bloody-Disgusting. … what? You guessed? Oh.
Bringing you all FRIDAY THE 13TH casting news seems like a weekly ritual now… and to be honest.. it’s getting old. Aside from a few key names, most of these casting announcements haven’t been huge announcements at all. Heck, how many people can you line up for Jason to hack and slash? If done right though, high body counts are A OK in my book, so here’s hoping.
Anyway, B-D are reporting today that Richard Burgi is the newest name to join that hockey mask wearing sillyman on his latest escapade.
Burgi (above) is probably most known for his stint as the psycho/pansy in HOSTEL 2. Word is Burgi will be playing the Sheriff. I can see that… I can also see him being just another friend of Jason’s machete.
So that’s that. FRIDAY THE 13TH is geared up to hit theaters in less than a year on Friday, February the 13th, 2009. It stars Jared Padalecki, Amanda Righetti (below), Willa Ford, and Derek Mears as Jason.
