Seems like the we’re getting casting news on FRIDAY THE 13TH at least four times a week… and this weeks no different. Although the casting news today comes from a very unlikely source…
Blogger shdowchsr has dropped first word on the newest name to join Jason and his band of f*ckable loveable camp counselors.
Apparently Mr. shdowchsr recently attended the premiere of FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL, where he ran into one Ryan Hansen (above). Apparently Hansen mentioned he was going to be heading to Austin, Texas to be in FRIDAY THE 13TH. Hansen’s probably most known for his role on the TV show VERONICA MARS or his role in the film SUPERHERO MOVIE. Well now he’s yet another youngster lined up to battle the hockey mask wearing maniac.
Hansen joins a huge cast that includes the gorgeous Amanda Righetti (below), Will Ford, star Jared Padalecki, Danielle Panabaker, Aaron Yoo, Travis Van Winkle, Nick Mennell, Arlen Escarpeta, and Nana Visitor as Mrs. Voorhees with Derek Mears set to pick up the machete as Jason Voorhees.
Regardless of this being a ‘re-imagining’… I find myself looking forward to this one. Weird right? FRIDAY THE 13TH is being directed by Marcus Nispel with a script from the duo of Mark Swift and Damien Shannon. As always, we’ll keep you updated on any other FRIDAY THE 13TH news.
