Yes, I realize that title to the left states ‘Headey is Laid..” Sorry to get your hopes up.. but no sexual acts involving Lena Headey here. (See 300 for that.) Instead we have LAID TO REST, which is a flick that seems to have flown under our radar. Dread Central got word that the flick is actually set to wrap this Monday in Baltimore.
It’s already wrapping? Where the hell did it come from? LAID TO REST comes from director Robert Hall and stars gorgeous genre regular Lena Headey (below), Sean Whalen, Richard Lynch, Nick Principe, and Bobbi Sue Luther.
LAID TO REST is about a young girl who wakes up in a casket with a traumatic head injury and no memory of her identity. She quickly realizes she was abducted by a deranged serial murderer and in an isolated rural town she must survive the night and outsmart the technologically inclined killer who is hellbent on finishing what he started.
Sounds a tad like CAPTIVITY, but it’s definately got potential. My hopes are that they stick to the more psychological aspect instead of aiming for the played out ‘torture porn’ thing. Hopefully we’ll have more updates on LAID TO REST soon.
