I’m not the biggest HELLBOY fan. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I see any blatant flaws or anything, it’s just not my cup of tea. Damn entertaining and a fun ride though.

So needless to say, HELLBOY 2: THE GOLDEN ARMY hasn’t really been on my ‘must see’ list for this summer, but this video over at Empire Online definately has me intrigued.

It’s a behind the scenes video on some of the effects from THE GOLDEN ARMY, and it’s looking pretty badass. It looks like Guillermo del Toro is aiming to go old school, and use actual effects instead of CGI. Mind you, I’m sure he’ll be using lots of CGI for some parts of the flick, but he’s keeping it simple with monsters and such. Check out the video over here to see what I’m talking about.

Scope out the newest trailer this way and the gorgeous Selma Blair below. HELLBOY 2: THE GOLDEN ARMY is set to hit theaters July 11.
