We’ve been keeping you updated on Catherine Hardwicke’s TWILIGHT ever since it was announced. The reason being is because it’s got vampires in it. But as the project has progressed, it’s danced along the very fine line between a horror flick and a love story. Truth be told, it’s hopping more towards the love story side.
But it’s still got some badass vampires in it, so we’ll keep dropping you news on the project.

TWILIGHT revolves around a 17-year-old girl who moves to a small town to live with her father, and is drawn to a pale mysterious classmate who comes from a family of vampires.
It’s based of the best-selling novel by Stephenie Meyer, which has a massive fanbase. Melissa Rosenberg penned the script with Catherine Hardwicke directing. It stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Nikki Reed, Cam Gigandet, Michael Welch, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, and Ashley Greene (below), among others.
Now Summit are pegging this flick to be the beginning of their tentpole franchise, so the script for the sequel could be written as early as this summer (there’s actually 3 other books currently out in the franchise.). I actually dropped by the set of TWILIGHT last month, so be on the lookout for a lot more about that as we approach the release date. TWILIGHT hits theaters December 12.
