Some interesting news coming in from Variety today. News I find very intriguing.
Most people probably know who Peter Morgan is, or maybe you don’t, but you should. The man’s scripts are usually destined for Oscar glory. THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND, THE QUEEN, and THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL (whose gorgeous stars Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman you can see below), not to mention the upcoming FROST/NIXON.
Well as you can see, he knows how to write an epic story. So the good news I’m talking about is that Morgan (above) just sold HEREAFTER to DreamWorks for a low-seven-figure advance against multiple million dollars if the film gets made.
So maybe the news isn’t that intriguing to you yet.. but what if I told you HEREAFTER is described as ‘in the vein of THE SIXTH SENSE.’
We all know THE SIXTH SENSE owns. So a story down the same road, by an established writer like Morgan.. that can only mean magnificent things!
