And before that we debuted the gorgeous exclusive poster we scored. Now above you can scope out the newest poster for THE RUINS via IMP Awards. A pretty badass one at that.
Actually… it seems like everything coming from THE RUINS has been badass. Truth be told, the first time I heard about it (and the fact that a plant would be the monster), I wrote it off. When I saw the first trailer, I was still in the ‘Eh I’ll pass’ mode. But lately this thing has been picking up some major steam.
Positive buzz is a plenty around THE RUINS. And why shouldn’t it be? It’s got a decent cast, an original story, and is based on a novel that has gotten a lot of positive feedback. The biggest selling point for THE RUINS? Apparently it’s actually scary! Shocker! A horror movie that’s scary? Unheard of. I won’t believe it till I see it.
I’m officially down for THE RUINS. It’s directed by Carter Smith with a script from Scott B. Smith, who also wrote the novel. It stars Jonathan Tucker, Jena Malone, Shawn Ashmore, Laura Ramsey (below), and Joe Anderson. It hits theaters April 4.
