Unfortunately it seems like it’s true. Contrary to Harvey Weinstein being ready for more RAMBO, Sylvester Stallone is not. And I think it’s entirely safe to say without Sly, there is no Rambo.
Stallone recently had the following to say:
“This is the last Rambo just as Rocky Balboa is the last Rocky. I can’t go any further. It was a miracle that it even got done.”
If your like me, you feel like the Vietnam Vet just tore your heart out and spiked it onto the floor. Why Sly why? Don’t get me wrong… I totally understand where Stallone is coming from. The way RAMBO ended was brilliant, and an awesome way to end the whole saga, right where it began… but RAMBO was damn fun! I don’t remember the last time I cheered out loud in a movie theater.
Even though it’s coming straight from the man behind the Green Beret, I still have some hope. I mean who really thought we’d be seeing John Rambo return to the big screen in 2008? So you never know.
Before Stallone brought back us all back in time with RAMBO and ROCKY BALBOA, he was co-starring with Alexa Vega in SPY KIDS 3-D.
