Semum updates

Last month I pointed you all towards the teaser trailer for Turkish film SEMUM. It wasn’t anything spectacular but was worth taking note.

Well if you head over to the official website, you might notice it’s recently been revamped with more stills from the flick and the new theatrical trailer.

I have to say, although it feels a bit like THE EXORCIST, this flick looks pretty twisted. Sure, the FX are kind of mediocre, but what do you expect from an indie Turkish film? Some parts do seem pretty freaky though.

From what I found, SEMUM is: Terrifying islamic myths and legends get together with a true story! Sometimes demon of the hells and Jinns come to real world! This time they have a good reason! It’s loosely based on a true story and was inspired by H.P. Lovecraft.

SEMUM was written and directed by Hasan Karacadag (D@BBE). It’s set to come out in Turkey next month.

Why not?
