I’m sure most have heard of Lucky McKee and his hit indie flick MAY. MAY apparently broke some major ground and is a horror flick to check out, so I’ve been meaning to see it. The Arrow even dug it a lot.
Well McKee’s next is a little out of left field. It’s called RED and is, according to Twitch, a dramatic revenge story about an old man in search of justice and redemption after his closest friend and important inspiration for living, his dog, is brutally killed by three troubled teens. Sounds.. interesting. If the said old man goes all Charles Bronson on their ass and starts taking names, I’m down. And I’m assuming the same old man is being played by Brian Cox, which is just that much better.

The flick has a great cast with the likes of Brian Cox, Kyle Gallner, Tom Sizemore, Shiloh Fernandez, Robert Englund, Amanda Plummer, Kim Dickens (bellow), Richard Riehle, and Ashley Laurence. I know what your wondering… isn’t Kim Dickens the one that… yes. Yes she is. She was the recipient of a little suckle from the invisible Kevin Bacon in HOLLOW MAN. That scene is just a wonderment… Anyway. It’s directed by Trygve Allister Diesen and Lucky McKee with a script from Stephen Susco, based on the novel by Jack Ketchum. No word yet on a release date, but we’ll keep you updated.
