A few days ago PJ reported on the hot rumor that said Christian Bale will be starring in TERMINATOR SALVATION: THE FUTURE BEGINS. The word making it’s way across the internet was that Bale was set to play John Connor, or possibly the new hero the script centers on. Hell, there was even speculation that he’d be the new Terminator.
Well we’ve finally got some light shed on this situation! MSN has recently reported, via ‘someone close to production,’ that Christian Bale IS in fact in “serious” talks to play John Connor. The downside is he hasn’t yet signed on.
Christian Bale is one of my favorite actors. The picture above is one of my favorite pictures on the net, and I can’t begin to explain how much I loved AMERICAN PSYCHO. Christian Bale’s performance as Patrick Bateman is one of the greatest performances ever in my opinion, if not the greatest. So anything he’s in you bet I’ll be seeing.
Of course the only negative thing coming from TERMINATOR SALVATION: THE FUTURE BEGINS is that McG will be directing. But with a guy like Bale potentially starring, how can any director go wrong? Of course now that it’s been confirmed that Bale is in talks to play John Connor, speculation is going crazy. Will he sign for all three films of the new trilogy? Is the story going to center on Connor, rather than a new character as previously reported? Does this mean no more Batmans for a long ass time?
