Movie Geeks United dropped a semi-interesting note the other day about the possibility of another POLTERGEIST movie. POLTERGEIST was a classic, one of the best ghost movies ever made. It spooked you, it chilled you, it made you terrified of clowns and television sets, and it did it all with a PG rating! Not to mention the history behind the POLTERGEIST saga, hell there was an E! TRUE HOLLYWOOD STORY about it. Well Michael Grais was one of the minds behind POLTERGEIST, being one of the writers. He was also one of the writers for POLTERGEIST II: THE OTHER SIDE as well as a producer.
Movie Geeks United recently spoke to Grais about a scipt he wrote titled POLTERGEIST: IN THE SHADOWS. It would be the fourth installment of the franchise. Now don’t get too excited, Grais has written the script all his own. No stuidos asked him to do it, nor are any looking to buy the script yet. So right now it just looks like it might be a bundle of papers on the desk of Michael Grais. But who knows, with all the remakes, reboots, direct-to-dvd sequels, and everything else Hollywood is spitting at us, you can’t count anything out.
