The other day I showed you all the trailer for REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA, now there’s a couple brand spanking new stills making the rounds on the net. There’s two news one (above and below), the first shows the Repo Man himself in action (above) and the second shows another man in action, Darren Lynn Bousman (below).
There seems to be a split opinion on REPO! around the horror community. Like I mentioned last time, I’m not a big musical guy, the only real musicals that have interested me were SOUTH PARK BIGGER, LONGER, AND UNCUT and the upcoming Tim Burton film SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET. As for REPO!, it just hasn’t really made me marvel yet. I’m not counting it off yet though, the trailer wasn’t bad at all, and I’m sure I’ll catch it eventually. Or who knows, maybe once the film starts releasing more stills, trailers, and clips it’ll catch my attention even more. Until then check out the stills above and below.
The film is about a worldwide epidemic that encourages a biotech company to launch an organ-financing program similar in nature to a standard car loan. The repossession clause is a killer, however. REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and written by Darren Smith and Terrance Zdunich. It stars Paul Sorvino, Paris Hilton, Bill Moseley, Anthony Head, and Alexa Vega. It’s release date is slated for April 25, 2008.
