The other day I told you all about the Turkish film MUSALLAT (in english it means HAUNTED). I showed you the trailer, the official website, and just basically gave you a heads up.

Well today the man behind the effects on the flick, Cem Gül let us know that English subtitles have been thrown onto the trailer. So you can check that out below. (or on the website, ‘uzun fragman’ under the ‘Fragman’ menu.) From the looks of the trailer, it looks like Mr. Gül did an awesome job with the effects too. Some twisted stuff. He also gave the heads up that an English version of the website will be up soon, so I’ll keep a lookout for that.

In case you didn’t know, MUSALLAT is the story of a young couple haunted by mysterious forces and there looks to be a heavy possession element as well. The calm life of Suat and Nurcan is broken when they begin to be scared by supernatural creatures. It’s set to open in Turkey on November 16, 2007. No word on a US release.

Like I mentioned before, this looks like a real twisted flick, along the lines of THE EXORCIST, so if you dig that stuff, it’s definately one to keep an eye on. Even without the subtitles, the trailer is pretty wicked.

MUSALLAT is directed by Alper Mestçi. It was written by Mestçi and Güray Ölgü. It stars Burak Özçivit, Bikem Karavus, and Kurtulus Sakiragaoglu. You can check out the official site, which has some pretty cool flash, over here.
