Now last month I gave you all a glimpse of the first promo picture for BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE. Well today Filmsactu.com have released the first official still to the flick.

The image, found below (click for larger pic), shows Gianna Jun looking all badass holding a sweet ass sword. The premise for BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE is: A vampire named Saya (Jun), who is part of covert government agency that hunts and destroys demons in a post-WWII Japan, is inserted in a military school to discover which one of her classmates is a demon is disguise.

Sounds pretty sweet. Now BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE is actually a remake of a Japanese anime. Chris Nahon is directing with Kenji Kamiyama writing the script. Now Ronny Yu is down for a writing credit and was slated to direct at one point, so I’m sure he’s got some input in this one. BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE stars Gianna Jun, Allison Miller (above), JJ Field, Liam Cunningham, Andrew Pleavin, Constantine Gregory, Joey Anaya, and Masiela Lusha (below). It’s set to come out Spring 2008.

I want a sword…
