Trailer to Jump for

Now I haven’t heard much from JUMPER, just found out about it the other day actually. But it seems like a pretty cool flick. It’s like a really slick look at the whole ‘teleporting’ power. The movie follows a teenage kid that has the power to teleport from one place to another whenever he pleases. He uses this to track down the man who murdered his mother, but instead attracts the NSA and a kid with similar powers.

The news rolling in is that the trailer just hit the net. You can check it out below or at the official website.

The film is based on a series of novels by Steven Gould. It’s being directed by Doug Liman (THE BOURNE IDENTITY) and was written by David S. Goyer (BLADE). It stars Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson, Diane Lane, Jamie Bell, and Rachel Bilson (below).

From the looks of the trailer, this might be a pretty cool sci-fi flick. At first glance it doesn’t look like there’s much you can do with this type of premise, but I’m sure they have a lot of good stuff planned, especially with two ‘Jumpers.’ Plus, it has Sam Jackson kicking ass. (at some points, Hayden Christensen’s it looks like… deja vu anyone?). Plus the movies got a major hottie in Rachel Bilson and the always beautiful Diane Lane. Not to mention the marketing looks to be pretty cool. (Check out this story from /Film). “Anywhere is possible.” Catchy. You can check out the official website over here. And you can check out the books over here. JUMPER is slated to hit theaters on February 15, 2008.
