Yesterday, Eric told you guys about The Weinstein Company picking up Dario Argentio’s THE MOTHER OF TEARS. Well the news rolling in now is that they’re at it again! The Weinsteins just snatched up Dan Myrick’s SOLSTICE. According to IMDB, the plot is: A young girl uncovers a disturbing secret about her twin sister, who committed suicide just a few months before.
Not much to go off of there, huh? Guess we’ll have to wait and see how this one pans out. As noted, SOLSTICE is directed by Dan Myrick (THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT). It stars Elisabeth Harnois (above), Shawn Ashmore, Tyler Hoechlin, Amanda Seyfried, Matt O’Leary, Hilarie Burton (below), R. Lee Ermey, and Jenna Hildebrand. It was slated to be released this year, but no telling if that’s going to hold up. You can check out the official website, here.
