The rights to the “psychological sci-fi thriller” NEAR DEATH have been picked up by Fox Searchlight, this according to the Hollywood Reporter. The script, which is written by Carter Blanchard, was picked up by the studio despite recent reports of the studio wanting to trim down the amount of horror films being produced. As of right now Aaron Kaplan and Sean Perrone are set to produce the film.
