Those of you who still need an OLDBOY fix, but can’t get ahold of the massive Korean UE set that went out of print a while back, Tartan Video looks to have a solution for you.

OLDBOY: 3-Disc Collector’s Edition will be made available for purchase on November 14th from the fine Tartan folks, and a sweet price of $39.99. From the looks of things, this new set appears to have almost (if not all) the extras from the Korean UE, save for the soundtrack CD, 3 film cells, 80-page photo book, storyboards and the ultra-cool handmade copper tin that held all the stuff, but hey, if you still want to be the completist, you can search for the set on ebay.

    Disc 1

  • anamorphic widescreen transfer
  • Korean & English Dolby Digital 5.1 & DTS 5.1 Surround tracks
  • English subtitles
  • three commentary tracks (director, director & cinematographer, director & cast)

  • Disc 2

  • ten deleted scenes with optional commentary
  • “Making The Film,” “Production Design,” “The Music Score,” “CGI,” “Flashback” and “Le Grand Prix At Cannes” featurettes
  • cast & crew interviews

  • Disc 3

  • “The Autobiography Of Oldboy” – a video diary chronicling each day of the film’s production

Rounding out the goodies will be a 35mm film frame in a collector’s card, the original 212-page Japanese Manga graphic novel and a metal tin case (though not the cool copper tin from the Korean version).
