Time Now, the new mystery thriller from writer/director Spencer King (Black Petunia), is set to premiere at the 28th Annual Austin Film Festival, which kicks off on October 21st. If you’re not able to see the film in Austin, Dark Star Pictures has you covered: they have announced that they’ll be giving Time Now a theatrical and on demand release very soon after its Austin screening – on October 26th, to be exact. To help you decide whether or not Time Now is a movie you’d like to see, we’ve got the trailer embedded above for you to check out, and the poster can be seen below.

Starring Eleanor Lambert – who happens to be the daughter of Diane Lane and Christopher Lambert – and Claudia Black (Farscape, Pitch Black), Time Now has the following synopsis:

Several years after a falling out with her family in Detroit, a young woman returns to the city she grew up in to mourn the sudden death of her twin brother. Upon meeting her brother’s eclectic group of friends, stepping into the scene he belonged to, and navigating the urban playground that is Detroit, she soon discovers that his death is not what it seems.

Lambert and Black are joined in the cast by newcomers Xxavier Polk and Asher Atkisson, Paige Kendrick (Breuckelen), Sebastian Beacon (The Last Thing Mary Saw), Jeannine Thompson (Skydog), Peter Knox (I Dream of a Psychopomp), Aaron Matthew Atkisson (Unsolved Mysteries), Dominique Alexander (Tale of Tails), Ashley Sheri (Stoners), and R&B star Dwele (CornerStore). Although Eleanor Lambert appeared in Eleanor Coppola’s film Paris Can Wait with her mother, Time Now is considered to be her introductory movie.

The trailer it makes it look like Time Now could be interesting, and Lambert appears to do good work in the lead role.
