Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, renewed, season 2

After Stuart Fails to Save the Universe gave HBO Max its second-biggest comedy launch ever globally, it should come as no surprise that the streaming service has renewed the Big Bang Theory spin-off series for a second season.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe Renewed

The logline reads: “Comic book store owner Stuart Bloom is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. Stuart is aided in this quest by his girlfriend Denise, geologist friend Bert, and quantum physicist/all-around pain in the ass Barry Kripke. Along the way, they meet alternate-universe versions of characters we’ve come to know and love from ‘The Big Bang Theory.’ As the title implies, things don’t go well.“

The series stars Kevin Sussman as Stuart, Lauren Lapkus as Denise, Brian Posehn as Bert, and John Ross Bowie as Kripke. It comes from creators Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn, and Bill Prady.

The Big Bang Theory Franchise

The Big Bang Theory spanned 12 seasons and 279 episodes, and its enormous success led to a straight-up franchise. First, there was Young Sheldon, which aired for 7 seasons; then George & Mandy’s First Marriage, which will launch its third season later this year; and now Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. And somehow, I’m one of those people who haven’t watched a single episode.
