The Batman to resume filming without The Batman

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Variety reports that Matt Reeves' upcoming THE BATMAN reboot will resume shooting, despite its star – Robert Pattinson (playing the eponymous "Batman") – testing postive for Covid-19 and resting for the 14-day incubation period. The production will reportedly focus on non-Batman/Bruce Wayne scenes, and use a stand-in if absolutely necessary. Though there are conflicting reports on this, what is clear is that construction has commenced on sets in the UK, and that the studio has faith in the Covid safety measures, despite the star's condition.

Anyway, here's the official synopsis:

The movie will focus on Bruce Wayne’s second year as Batman -set in a different universe separate from the Justice League DCEU characters – and is a detective story that follows a series of murders that open up the history of corruption in Gotham and how Bruce’s family is linked.

Meanwhile, Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN is still scheduled to be released in theaters October 1st, 2021…but we'll keep you updated on any delays.

So what do you guys think? Either way, sound off below!
