The trailer has arrived for V/H/S/MIXTAPE, the latest installment in the long-running found footage horror anthology franchise, which will premiere at Beyond Fest next week before arriving exclusively on Shudder on October 9.
The new V/H/S movie comes from an eclectic collection of filmmakers, including legendary director Ernest Dickerson, hip hop icon RZA, Mads director David Moreau, and acclaimed filmmaker Renee Zhan. The film also features GWAR, original creature work from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, and music video segments directed by Flying Lotus and Ghost frontman Tobias Forge.
The trailer’s release comes just a couple of months after Shudder announced V/H/S/MIXTAPE as the next entry in the franchise, revealing that it would arrive before the previously announced V/H/S: SCP. That film is still targeting a 2027 theatrical release.

The movie will also feature a wrap segment in which GWAR hosts skits and music videos in an MTV-style show from hell, along with music videos directed by Tobias Forge and Flying Lotus.
The V/H/S franchise launched in 2012 and has continued its resurgence on Shudder with annual installments including V/H/S/94, V/H/S/99, V/H/S/85, V/H/S/Beyond, and V/H/S/Halloween. V/H/S/MIXTAPE will keep that annual tradition going before the franchise takes its next major step with V/H/S: SCP.
