It was only a few days ago that Jake was right here telling us all how the sexy Piper Perabo was the newest name to join David Hackl’s killer bear flick RED MACHINE and here I am already with three more names joining the project! This thing is casting up pretty quickly, huh?

But so far the cast has been pretty top notch so I can definitely dig it. Unfortunately today’s casting update, which is coming at us from Variety, seems to be more about bit players considering I don’t recognize any of the names. We’re going to roll with it regardless! Joining Perabo (below), James Marsden, Thomas Jane and Billy Bob Thorton in the woodsy thriller will be Scott Glenn, Adam Beach, Michaela McManus and Kelly Curran.

RED MACHINE centers around two estranged brothers (Marsden, Jane) who reconcile on a camping trip with their girlfriends. Once in the remote wilderness, however, things go horribly awry when they are attacked and relentlessly stalked by a horrifying grizzly bear — the Red Machine. Thornton will play a legendary bear expert and hunter.

Filming on this little diddy should get underway soon courtesy of Indomitable Entertainment and Paul Schiff Prods so hopefully more updates will spill our way once things get rolling.
