There were plenty of unintentionally funny moments in FIFTY SHADES OF GREY and now we're getting the chance to have an intentional chuckle at the film thanks to Marlon Wayans. That's right folks, a FIFTY SHADES OF GREY spoof is on the way; IM Global will join forces with with Marlon Wayans and Rick Alvarez for the spoof comedy FIFTY SHADES OF BLACK.

We’re excited to be back in business with IM Global doing our comedic remix of this movie. Sex and comedy go hand-in-hand, and I’m looking forward to having fun with this project. It’s amazing when a film of this caliber comes along begging to be made fun of. I’m really happy to be doing what I love with people I love to do it with. That double entendre was intentional.

Wayans will star in the film as well as produce and write it alongside Rick Alvarez; Mark Tiddes has stepped in to direct. It's a HAUNTED HOUSE reunion, and we all know how well that film was received. FIFTY SHADES OF BLACK has set a release for early 2016. I've got a soft spot for spoof films, but it's been many many years since we've had one on par with AIRPLANE, THE NAKED GUN, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, etc. I suppose there's always hope that Leslie Nielsen will return from the grave. Marlon Wayans was last seen in the spoof-comedy A HAUNTED HOUSE 2.
