You know, here at Arrow in the Head we concentrate on the horror genre and anything related. Although this is very much true, we do have a couple exceptions. One of which is anything Jean Claude Van Damme. So that’s why I’m bringing you the news that a JCVD classic is being remade. I didn’t say it was good news.
IESB.net is reporting that Mike Richardson, owner of Dark Horse Entertainment, recently spoke to them about the possibility of a TIMECOP remake. Richardson said he has been talking to Universal about bringing the original back to the big screen. He even has an actor in mind to star, and according to IESB.net: I can tell you that he is 100% bad ass and one of the coolest action stars of today. Only guy that really comes to mind after that statement is Jason Statham. Statham is one of the biggest badasses in Hollywood… but lets face it, he’s no JCVD.

TIMECOP brought about a short lived TV series and a direct-to-DVD sequel, neither of which reached a third of the original’s success. And now, in a time where great action flicks (or any for that matter) are scarce in Hollywood, TIMECOP is being remade. Let’s just hope for the best, and for a JCVD cameo (at least!).
