Last week I told you all about a very intriguing project called HOTEL. Now why was this thing exciting? Well because it’s a TV series from the minds of Clive Barker, Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan! Three huge names in the horror genre are set to bring us a television series about a series of ghoulish incidents at a haunted hotel. Oh I’m definitely down!

Today The Hollywood Reporter scored the news that ABC have scored the rights to HOTEL, outbiding several other big name networks including Fox. The only other interesting tidbit in the article is the fact that there’s rumblings about McG coming along to direct… Oh dear.

Now this is understandable considering the director’s Wonderland Sound and Vision banner are in line to produce along with Barker… but McG doing all out horror? I just don’t know… What do you guys think? Would you trust McG handling this? Television series’ based on the horror genre haven’t done well at all recently… aside from TRUE BLOOD of course… so do you think HOTEL even stands a chance, McG or no McG? We’ll be keeping a close eye on this one and will let you all know any news as soon as we hear it!

ABC also airs the hit series LOST, which stars Evangeline Lilly
