Back in June, I reported on the fun sounding vampire horror comedy WITH TEETH, about vampries killing off internet personalities/influencers. At the time, there were no official casting announcements; though producer Malin Åkerman (WATCHMEN, CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL) was reportedly "eyeing a key role". Now, however, it seems she's found her role – as that of a "seductive billionaire (and probable vampire)" – who is also joined by two other castmates, Abigail Breslin, who's playing "Jules, a sexy, smart mouthed fitness guru who faces off against a gang of vampires" and Thomas Jane, who's playing "Elliot, the Vampire Hunter."
Here's the official synopsis:
SLAYERS follows a group of superstar Internet influencers (including Breslin) who are drawn to a reclusive, seductive billionaire’s mansion (Åkerman), only to find themselves trapped in the lair of a horrifyingly evil vampire. The only way out is to be saved by a famous online gamer (Hayward) and an old school vampire hunter (Jane), who is set in his ways.
Meanwhile, SLAYERS is directed by K. Asher Levin and also stars Kara Hayward (MOONRISE KINGDOM, ISLE OF DOGS, and US), Lydia Hearst (Z NATION, BETWEEN WORLDS, GOSSIP GIRL, and THE HAUNTING OF SHARON TATE), and Jack Donnelly (ATLANTIS).
