MORGAN follows a corporate risk-management consultant who has to decide and determine whether or not to terminate an artificial being’s life that was made in a laboratory environment. Certainly sounds familiar to a little film by the name of EX MACHINA, although MORGAN may have gorier results. This marks the feature film debut of Ridley Scott‘s sun, Luke Scott. I definitely got the ALIEN vibe from the trailer (aside from the previously mentioned EX MACHINA). I didn’t go for the annoying vocal leitmotif, so I’m hoping the next trailer paints a much different picture than this one. Given that the film also stars Rose Leslie and Paul Giamatti, perhaps we’ll see them next time around?
MORGAN is scheduled to hit theaters on September 2, 2016.
