The Jay and Silent Bob Reboot trailer is packed with Hollywood royalty

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Snoogans! Rather than make fans wait until Saturday night after Kevin Smith's Hall H panel, the View Askewniverse mastermind has unveiled the first official trailer for JAY AND SILENT BOB REBOOT! In the upcoming follow-up to JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK (2001), the comedy's titular stoner duo, Jay and Silent Bob, return to Hollywood to stop a reboot of 'Bluntman and Chronic' movie from getting made. Of course, no riotous road trip would be complete without a few detours to keep them on their toes.

As the trailer unfolds, we find that Jay is the estranged baby daddy of a love child he'd unknowingly had with Justice, Shannon Elizabeth's character from the 2001 original. As Jay and Silent Bob try to wrap their twisted, pot-shocked minds around their new reality, they agree to bring a few new players along for the journey. As they encounter one ridiculous situation after another, it becomes clear that JAY AND SILENT BOB REBOOT is overflowing with celebrity guest stars, including stars like David Dastmalchian, Jason Lee, Joe Manganiello, Craig Robinson, Justin Long, Fred Armisen, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Chris Hemsworth, Method Man, Redman, Jason Biggs, James Van Der Beek, Brian Quinn, and Tommy Chong.

Directed, written by, and starring Kevin Smith as Silent Bob, alongside Jason Mewes as Jay, JAY AND SILENT BOB REBOOT looks every bit as zany and over-the-top funny as many of us have been hoping for.

Be sure to stay tuned over the weekend as more details related to the film arrive via Kevin Smith's Hall H panel this Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con.

JAY AND SILENT BOB REBOOT will begin loitering around theaters on October 15, 2019.
