Among Us, the super popular online game from Innersloth, has just taken another step toward immortality: the animated fan film! It would seem that the fine folks over at CKVFX have put together a sweet little 15-minute CG movie based on the who-is-the-real-killer styled game. If, like my kids, you are a fan, then I'd definitely check out the full movie up top!
In case you weren't in the know, the story of Among Us goes like this: 4-10 players attempt to hold their spaceship together and return back to civilization. But beware…as there may be an alien impostor aboard! One crewmate has been replaced by a parasitic shapeshifter. Their goal is to eliminate the rest of the crew before the ship reaches home. The Impostor will sabotage the ship, sneak through vents, deceive, and frame others to remain anonymous and kill off the crew. So in other words, an average Sunday at the Kardashians'.
The talented crew at CKVFX is comprised of Visual Effects Artists that work primarily on low budget B Movies and occasionally dabble in other areas of Digital Creation (gaming, just for fun videos etc). Major props to these peeps for lovingly creating such a fun piece of work!
