It seems Anna Kendrick is going to be starring in a new Disney family film (tentatively) titled NICOLE, about "Santa’s daughter who is forced to take over the family business when her father decides to retire and brother ends up getting cold feet prior to his first big Christmas Eve flight." It is being written by MISS CONGENIALITY scribe Marc Lawrence, who is also set to direct.
Look, even though she is not an actual gener-swapped Santa (and just his daughter), I can still just imagine the comments section going crazy because none other than a GIRL (yuck!) is going to be playing SANTA CLAUS (whaaaaaaaaat)!? I mean, "aren't you just outraged at PC-culture running amuck?" I can hear them saying, "Next thing you know, they're going to try to have females – of all people – with equal representation in the cinema (instead of just 27% of speaking parts), and possibly even *gasp* headlining more films! What's next, gender-swapping horror icons and Marvel heroes? The madness, THE HORROR!!!"
