Bill Maher‘s weekly talk show on HBO, Real Time with Bill Maher, kicked off its twentieth season earlier this year. As that series deals almost exclusively with political content, it may be refreshing for fans who are eager for Maher to talk about, well, anything else.
“There’s something about sitting in a bar, in a club, in a nighttime setting with just one person that produces the rawest, realest conversations I can imagine,” Maher said. “Why am I doing this? A lot of people are turned off to politics and I really can’t blame them. There’s a whole big world out there that’s not about politics and I’m interested in all of it.“
