Fire up Google Maps and grab your gear because we're about to explore a top-secret CIA site with three very fine actors. Jason Clarke (Pet Semetary), Michelle Monaghan (Mission: Impossible), and Jai Courtney (The Suicide Squad) are set to star in action-thriller Black Site from the producers of John WickHotel Mumbai, and Bait.

In Black Site, a group of officers based in a labyrinthine top-secret CIA black site must fight for their lives in a cat-and-mouse game against Hatchet, a brilliant and infamous high-value detainee. When Hatchet escapes, his mysterious and deadly agenda has far-reaching and dire consequences.

Black Site is the first film project coming from Asbury Park Pictures, the recently-established studio between Basil Iwanyk's Thunder Road Films and Redbox Entertainment. Other outfits set to produce the film are Erica Lee and Mike Gabrawy for Asbury alongside Todd Fellman for Story Bridge Films. Andrew C. Coles is also a part of the mix by serving as the film's executive producer via The Mission Entertainment. Jonathan Fuhrman, Asbury’s co-president of production, is also executive producing with Randy Simon.

It seems to me that whenever creatives from the John Wick series are involved in a new project it warrants our attention. While there's still much left to learn about Black Site, we've already got some solid acting talent attached, and I'll be curious to see how the ante gets upped from here. For all we know, the people who had a hand in making John Wick could invite key individuals from that series onto this promising project.
